Repair & Warranty Service

Momotaro Jeans are crafted to last a lifetime. Our perpetual repair service ensures your favourite denim ages beautifully and stays wearable for years to come.

Important: Repair Eligibility Notice

Please note our current policy regarding where your item was purchased:

  • Online Store Purchases: At this time, we are unable to provide repair services for products purchased through our official online store. Due to logistical complexities and external support costs, we have suspended this service for online orders. However, if overseas customers are travelling to Japan, Momotaro stores can accept repairs to their global orders.
  • Purchases from Domestic Stores: We accept repair requests for items purchased at our physical stores in Japan. Customers are responsible for all related shipping costs and any applicable customs duties of both trips if they send the repair items overseas and request the repaired item to be sent to their home country.
  • Purchases from Authorised Dealers: Please contact the original store of purchase for assistance.
  • Purchases are made other than from authorised dealers: Please contact our Online Store support team and provide the name of the store where the purchase was made so we can verify the item's authenticity and eligibility.

Before sending your Jeans for repair

1. Locate your Certificate of Guarantee

Please have the original "CERTIFICATE OF GUARANTEE" included with your purchase ready. If the certificate is lost or not included with the shipment, all repairs will be treated as "Paid Services".

2. Launder Your Denim

For the health of our craftsmen and the maintenance of our vintage Union Special machines, all items must be freshly laundered and completely dry before being sent.

  • Hygiene: We cannot accept jeans that appear unwashed or soiled.
  • Fragrance: Please avoid heavy detergents or fabric softeners, as strong scents can migrate in our repair shop.
  • Shrinkage: Washing ensures the fabric is "set" so our repairs remain accurate.

3. Prepare Your Package

Please include the following four items if you send the repair item to the store overseas:

  • Your "CERTIFICATE OF GUARANTEE".
  • The laundered jeans.
  • A detailed note describing the specific areas needing repair.
  • Your return shipping address and contact information.

Lead Times of repair

Repair times fluctuate based on volume. We process all requests in the order they are received. For a current estimate or to confirm eligibility, please contact the store where you sent the repair item.
