A jacket with a stylish V-shaped paneling, based on the sophisticated 3rd type, featuring a boa lining. The outer fabric is crafted from the world-renowned extra-long staple Giza cotton, known for its smooth texture and beautiful sheen, using a moleskin weave. Moleskin is a fabric woven with thick cotton threads at high density, providing thickness, durability, and a subtle plushness and luster reminiscent of mole fur. This fabric, commonly seen in French workwear, allows for enjoyable aging and patina over time.

With pockets on both sides, quilted lining on the sleeves for easy wear and removal, and matte black buttons for a chic touch. This garment balances warmth with a robust, simple aesthetic. Available in two colors: OLIVE and BLACK.

About Boa Linning

Tompkin-knitted wool-blend boa
The boa used for the lining and collar is knitted on a rare circular knitting machine called the Tompkin machine, developed in 1874.
The process involves converting cotton directly into yarn and knitting it slowly from bottom to top using vintage knitting machines.
This method takes about 10 times longer compared to modern high-speed knitting machines, but it results in a fabric that is soft,
airy, and free from the burden of its own weight. The fabric has a moderate thickness, providing a plush and substantial feel while
maintaining a soft and fluffy texture.
While acrylic is commonly used for the furry part of boa, MOMOTARO utilizes 54% wool, aiming for a texture close to real fur
without the prickliness. Real animal fur is known for its high insulation, moisture retention, and beautiful sheen. Even though the
lining is an unseen element, this boa directly influences the comfort of the garment. Please feel and experience the sensation of
being enveloped in this slowly knitted boa by wearing it. We’ve also added this boa to the inner side of the side pockets (only on
the back of the hand side), ensuring warmth even when you put your hands in the pockets.
Boa refers to a fluffy, curly, and soft fabric reminiscent of animal fur. The term originates from a word used to describe a large snake
found in Central and South America. The fabric earned its name because when you wrap a boa fabric scarf around your neck, it
resembles the appearance of this snake.
